Plans for birthday weekend

We have had a harder time than I had expected on finalizing all the details about Vegas because Brandon has been out to sea the last few months, but he is back and we finally sat down and did it! Here are the plans...

Thursday Everyone will be flying/driving/walking or however y'all choose to get to Vegas so we figured we will take it easy with checking in to the hotel, playing games on the floor and having dinner wherever is nearby

Friday Afternoon Brandon will be entering a Texas Hold'em tournament while I will be at the pool mostly likely. In the evening Brandon has requested to see Terry Fator and with it being a bit more pricier than we planned we'll celebrate his birthday Saturday night. If y'all would like to join us the section we are buying seats for cost about $115 a ticket (if they don't sell out).

Saturday Is all about Brandon! He will be playing an afternoon round of golf at the Desert Pine with anyone who would like to join him while the girls will be at the spa. We will end the night with a semi formal dinner at The Steak House at 5pm followed by Mystere at 7pm. Mystere is offering us a 50% military discount so if you would like to be added in the group by PLEASE get back to me asap so I can give you the details.

I know plans change and there will be much more added in, but y'all are more than welcome to join us in anything we do and would love if y'all could atleast join us Saturday night.

Invitations

The invitations are here and I have 80% of the addresses. Look for them in the mail because I dropped them off this weekend!

Block of hotel rooms NO MORE!!

After seeing a map of Las Vegas and learning where the Stratosphere was, we decided to try and find a better location more in the middle of the strip. I have called and tried to get a deal again with booking a block of rooms, but I have learned that each individual will have the better luck with looking for a flight and hotel deal package.

With that in mind, I forgone the way of blocking rooms and just want everyone to be able to come, regardless if we are in the same hotel. We will be staying at the Treasure Island and if you book there in advance you get great deals. Whenever you end up staying just let us know, so we can get ahold of everyone, especially for the night of his formal birthday dinner.

Please ask questions or if you need help in finding deals. Also I need addresses ASAP since the invitations will be here within 4 days. I figure the sooner we get them out the better. If you don't want to post your address on here where it is public, email me at sdmiles421@yahoo.com

Block of hotel rooms

After many, many phone calls and hours on the Internet searching for the best deals Stratosphere offered me an amazing deal and even waived the deposit to block rooms!

I sign the contract next week and will have all the information on the back of the invite of how to reserve a room. All you have to do is pay the first night rate plus tax; which is $25 (and whatever the tax rate is there)to hold your reservation!

I only blocked 10 rooms as of now, but I can add more and the sooner I do so the better the price. Let me know if you want details before the invites go out or plan on staying at a different hotel.

Dates are decided

I know that I said I would be sending save the dates within the month, well FOUR months later and I'm just now ordering them! Good news is that it's still 6 months in advance and that should allow enough time to work everything out.

The dates are November 12-15th!

I have called and priced checked a few hotels and the best deals are online! We like Treasure Island and if you book now the total for the 3 nights would be $312. I'm sure there are better deals and we even talked about renting a house for the weekend.

In the next few weeks (by the time the save the dates get here) we will have a location locked down and everyone can search for package deals to include hotel and flight.

FYI we will be driving so if anyone is worried about getting to and from, the beast will be in Vegas!

Brandon's 30th

This blog is intended to inform y'all of the details of Brandon's 30th birthday in Las Vegas a weekend in November (dates soon to be decided).

I will be sending out save the dates within the next month and more formal invitations closer to the actual date later in the year.

I just want to get the word out so everyone has the chance to save up and get everything in order to make plans to be able to make it.
